This print was my first time ever trying printmaking. I thought it would have been fun to create this Koi fish going through a Japanese alleyway. The two images below document my process carving the wood block.
This red and yellow print, in particular, was made by layering someone else's print on the paper before laying down my print. I had used red ink in a couple of prints before I had laid down black ink for the print depicted in the beginning.
